Inna Rasitsan gifts us the briefest, sharpest grief ... What does grief cut away from the self? What do we cut away when we grieve?

post ghost press describes itself as a “tiny publisher of microchapbooks and other strange projects.” This micropoem appears in volume 2 of post ghost’s small poems for the masses, which features six tiny poems folded into an intimate 4″ × 3″ space.

“Tesserae” explores the symbiotic relationship between hope and hopelessness—the ways in which we are compelled to hold on even while seeking closure, fashioning an ending.

Acta Victoriana

Founded in 1878, Acta Victoriana is the literary journal of Victoria University in the University of Toronto. “Water” found a home in volume 136 of Acta, where it was one of two prose poems among an eclectic collection of poetry, short fiction, and visual artwork.

This piece is a microcosm of a life, an endurance, with all its kinships, confinements, and solitudes.
